Kenton County is calling for nominations for the 2025 Pioneer Awards, which recognize residents who have shown exceptional service to the community and uphold high standards of personal integrity. The awards celebrate individuals who demonstrate servant leadership and an understanding of community needs.

Nominations are open until Friday, March 14. A committee made up of community leaders will review the submissions and present their recommendations to the Kenton County Fiscal Court. The selected honorees will be announced in April.

Approved honorees will receive recognition at a Kenton County Fiscal Court meeting, as well as in print and on social media platforms.

Nominations can be submitted through the Kenton County website at bit.ly/PioneerAwards2025. It is important to note that current elected officials are not eligible for these awards.

Since its inception in 2018, there have been 28 recipients of the Pioneer Award. In 2024, Sister Jean Marie Hoffman, Donna Salyers, and Jeanne Schroer were honored with this distinction.
