Amazon has been recognized as a top company to work for in the United States by LinkedIn for the eighth consecutive year, securing the second spot on the 2025 list. This recognition is attributed to Amazon's focus on building innovative and inclusive teams and investing in employee growth. Ofori Agboka, Amazon’s vice president of People, Experience & Technology for Global Operations, expressed that this acknowledgment is both humbling and motivating.

The company has emphasized skills training and growth opportunities as key factors in its ranking. Since 2019, over 350,000 U.S. employees have participated in Amazon's free education and skills training programs. These initiatives help employees gain critical skills for higher-paying roles within and outside Amazon. The Career Choice program supports educational milestones such as degrees and certifications.

Globally, more than 200,000 Amazon employees across 14 countries have benefited from upskilling programs for high-demand jobs like aircraft mechanics and IT support specialists. Additionally, Amazon has invested significantly in providing free cloud computing and AI skills training worldwide through AWS-powered programs. By December 2020, they committed to training 29 million people by 2025 but surpassed this goal ahead of schedule.

Amazon also continues to innovate on behalf of customers with projects like Amazon Bedrock and initiatives like Amazon Future Engineer, which increases access to computer science education for students globally. The program offers scholarships and internships at Amazon.

Beyond education, Amazon invests in its workforce with competitive wages and benefits while supporting communities through initiatives like the Housing Equity Fund. This fund aims to create affordable housing with a commitment of over $3.6 billion.

Amazon remains dedicated to its employees and communities as it looks forward to future opportunities.
