This weekend in Covington, Kentucky, several events are scheduled to take place, offering a variety of activities for locals and visitors. The soHza sister Boutique is celebrating its expansion with a four-day Women's Fest at 124 W. Pike St., featuring presentations such as "Healing Her Soul" and "Hypnotherapy for Anxiety & Depression." The boutique, which began in 2013 by three sisters, aims to empower women through social enterprise. Since its inception, the boutique has donated over $40,000 to local non-profits and purchased $1 million worth of goods from global partners.

In addition to the Women's Fest, two local businesses will host holiday shopping events on Saturday. The Roost Latonia offers décor and unique gifts, while Purple Paisley presents the November Prelude-Pre Holiday Bazaar with local art and jewelry.

For those interested in art and history, The Carnegie will feature a Curator Tour led by Sso-Rha Kang as part of the Southern Democratic project within the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial: backstories. This exhibit includes photographs by William Eggleston from Plains, Georgia.

On Sunday, the third annual Art Equals Woolly Fest at Hellmann Creative Center will highlight fiber arts with hand spinners, dyers, knitters, and weavers showcasing their work. Attendees can participate in a Fluff & Stuff Exchange or explore various vendors.

The Kenton County Animal Shelter invites runners to join them each Sunday for Running with the Dogs. Participants can enjoy a leisurely walk or run with shelter dogs needing exercise.

Live music events include performances by Josie & Lauren at soHza sister Boutique tonight and other bands throughout the weekend at venues like Molly Malone’s Irish Pub & Restaurant and Madison Theater.

Additional activities this weekend include video game night at Kenton County Public Library tonight and wine tasting at Crafts & Vines. On Saturday, visitors can attend the Covington Farmers Market or participate in Zumba Gold: Dancing to the Oldies at Kenton County Public Library.
