Northern Kentucky men's soccer faced a challenging non-conference match against #24 Duquesne in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Norse put up a strong fight but ultimately fell to the Dukes with a final score of 1-0 at Rooney Field.

The game was evenly matched, with both teams taking 13 shots each. Duquesne had a slight edge with five shots on goal compared to Northern Kentucky's four. Steven Boaghe-Braniste, Tyler Murphy, Jacob Haskins, and Bennett Gerak were responsible for NKU's attempts on target.

Romeo Paparesta made his first start of the season as goalkeeper for Northern Kentucky. He recorded four saves during the match and managed to keep the deficit at one after conceding the game's only goal in the 16th minute.

Northern Kentucky's current record stands at 2-4-7 overall and 1-1-4 in Horizon League play. Meanwhile, Duquesne improved their record to 11-2-1 overall and 5-1-0 in A-10 play.

Looking ahead, Northern Kentucky will host Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day.
