On March 28, the Flying Food Group (FFG) team at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) started offering its catering services on the new Swiss International Air Lines flight to Zurich, Switzerland (ZRH).
“We are delighted to see our long-time standing customer entrusting us with their new route opening,” a Flying Food Group representative told Business Daily.
According to FFG, Swiss International Air Lines has officially begun a new nonstop service between ZRH and IAD. Flights are set to operate daily throughout the summer and 5x/week in the winter.
Passengers on this new route will travel aboard an Airbus A330-300 aircraft which features First, Business, and Economy Class cabins. These aircraft can carry a maximum of 236 passengers. The capacity is divided into 183 Economy seats, 45 Business seats, and 8 First Class seats. Following the introduction of the A330-300, SWISS was the first airline in the world to offer First Class tickets on all long-haul flights.
The A330-300 is highly cost-efficient and profitable, providing significantly lower total operating costs per seat than its nearest competitor. This aircraft has the unique versatility to cover all route segments – from short-haul trips to true long-range distances of up to 6,350nm, allowing passengers to enjoy a comfortable, quiet cabin while in the air.
FFG is also currently servicing SWISS International Air Lines at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Miami International Airport (MIA), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Established in 1983 by Sue Ling Gin, FFG is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The company provides catering services to major airlines such as Air France, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, SWISS Air, and TAP Air Portugal.
