A new physician has joined OhioHealth Morrow County Hospital, enhancing cancer care options for local patients. Dr. Shakir Sarwar will start seeing patients on July 21st, providing various new cancer treatment plans to the community.

Dr. Sarwar specializes in cancer and blood disorders. He will evaluate and treat hematology and cancer patients, oversee follow-up care, and offer bone marrow biopsies at Morrow County Hospital. Cancer-related imaging or lab work will also be available locally. For infusion treatment or radiation oncology services, patients will be referred to the Marion Cancer Center at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital.

“I’m excited to join Morrow County Hospital and care for cancer and hematology patients in the area,” said Dr. Sarwar. “Being able to meet patients where they are is important, and I look forward to making specialized care more accessible and convenient.”
