COVINGTON, Ky. – Bard's Burgers & Chili, located at 3620 Decoursey Ave. in Latonia, has been recognized as one of the winners of the 2025 Authenti-CITY awards by the City of Covington. The award ceremony took place last Tuesday to celebrate National Economic Development Week.

Bard's offers a variety of burgers catering to different tastes, including options like The Purist, the Starlight Doughnut Lab, and the Bardzilla, which features eleven 1/3-pound patties and two pounds of french fries. "Once you take a bite, you'll understand the hype," stated Patrick Duffy, Covington Business Retention and Expansion Manager.

The restaurant gained national attention in 2016 when it was featured on The Food Network’s series Ginormous Foods hosted by Josh Denny. According to Duffy, "The team at Bard’s is warm, welcoming, and just as memorable as the menu."

The Authenti-CITY awards were first introduced in 2021 by Covington’s Economic Development team to highlight businesses that exemplify authenticity within the community. The selection process involves informal discussions among staff about notable local entities.
