Gaffney, with roles previously at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Energy, intends to leverage her experience in managing complex budgets and overseeing strategic initiatives.

Covington's Mayor, Ron Washington, expressed confidence in Gaffney's capabilities: “Bre Gaffney brings a wealth of experience that will help protect and strengthen the City’s financial position. Her leadership promises to bring fresh ideas and innovation to our finance department, and I look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly make.”
