Residents of Covington, Kentucky are set for a busy weekend with a variety of activities planned in and around the city. Among the highlights is the opening of Shealyn Hoehn's exhibition, "Tying Loose Ends; and Notes on String Theory," at the Pique gallery. The exhibition showcases nearly 1,000 donated hand-knit newborn hats, marking the artist's introspective journey with anxiety and grief.

A unique community event scheduled for Saturday invites residents to contribute items to a time capsule to be opened in 2075. Hosted by former WCPO news anchor Evan Millward, the event allows each participant a brief pitch to define why their contribution should be included. The contributions and pitches will be recorded by NKU Norse Media students, edited, and stored digitally within the capsule. The event is set to take place in front of the Latonia Branch of the Kenton County Public Library.

For families, an Easter egg hunt is planned on Saturday at the Volpenhein Shelter in Devou Park. Organized by Covington Parks and Recreation, the event promises activities such as games, a petting zoo, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.

The Covington Recycles at Tech Castle event on Saturday provides a sustainable solution for those wanting to dispose of unused electronics responsibly. In addition, participants can donate gently used books to Read Ready Covington and receive a 'thank you' coupon for shopping at Tech Castle.

Art and culture enthusiasts can visit the Behringer-Crawford Museum on Sunday for the opening reception of "Driftwood: The Life of Harlan Hubbard & Harlan Hubbard: Ripple Effect." Author Jessica K. Whitehead will be discussing her biography of Hubbard, focusing on the artist's impact on local creatives.

Music events across the weekend feature performances by The Missy Werner Band, Kashmir – The LED Zeppelin Show, Signs of Life: The American Pink Floyd, and more, providing a wide array of genres and venues for attendees to choose from.

Covington also offers miscellaneous activities such as trivia nights, workshops, and markets throughout the weekend. These include sewing circles, farmers markets, and even yoga with cats, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
