Flying Food Group (FFG) has announced that its Seattle facility will cater to STARLUX Airlines' inaugural long-haul route from Seattle to Taipei, which commenced on August 17. This development marks an expansion of FFG's existing partnership with STARLUX, for whom it already provides catering services in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

"One of the most promising developments is the growth of our Seattle facility," said Nicholas Rondeau, Executive Vice President, Air Sales and Marketing. "Our Seattle (SEA) location has seen tremendous expansion, as customers continue to open new operations in this vibrant Pacific Northwest hub. We are thrilled to support both our long-standing clients and new partners in this growing market."

According to Onboard Hospitality, the San Francisco facility began catering three weekly flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) on December 16, 2023. These flights are operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring First, Business, Premium, and Economy classes. The service later transitioned to daily operations, marking STARLUX’s second U.S. route following its successful launch of Taiwan-Los Angeles flights in April 2023.

"It is great to have the trust and confidence of a customer launching new routes with an outstanding in-flight service," said Nicholas Rondeau, Executive Vice President of Air Sales and Marketing at Flying Food Group. "It demonstrates a high level of trust and confidence in the entire Flying Food Group team and culinary capabilities."

Rondeau described the company's Seattle location as "one of the most promising" due to its continuous growth supporting both current and new clientele. This statement was made in the FFG Winter 2025 newsletter.

FFG's Seattle facility is strategically located at 2300 South 154th Street near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), enabling efficient service to a growing roster of international airlines with high-quality in-flight meals. The Seattle site is part of FFG's network of catering operations across major U.S. cities.

In addition to collaborating with STARLUX Airlines, FFG's Seattle facility has partnered with other carriers such as Hainan Airlines, offering direct flights between SEA and Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). This partnership began in April 2024.

Founded in 1983 by entrepreneur Sue Gin, Flying Food Group has established itself as a premier provider of in-flight catering services, delivering meals to over 70 international airlines.
