The University of Cincinnati's swimming and diving program has been recognized with three Big 12 weekly awards for the second consecutive week. The announcement was made by the league on Wednesday.

Hunter Gubeno, a graduate student, was honored as the Big 12 Men's Swimmer of the Week following his impressive performance against Northwestern over the weekend. Gubeno secured first place in three events: the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 46.87 seconds, the 200-yard backstroke at 1:41.11, and the 200-yard individual medley clocking in at 1:46.82. His times place him among the top national competitors, ranking within the top 15 for the 100-yard backstroke and 12th for the 200-yard IM. Additionally, Gubeno contributed to a second-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay, achieving the ninth-fastest time in Cincinnati's program history.

Junior swimmer Joleigh Crye received her third career accolade from Big 12 after winning both of her individual events against Northwestern. She claimed victory in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.38 seconds and topped the leaderboard in the 100-yard butterfly at 53.53 seconds while also leading her team to first place in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay. Crye currently holds a national ranking of second in the 100-yard breaststroke and is positioned at number 26 for the butterfly event.

Freshman Owen Chiles earned his inaugural Big 12 Weekly Award as he continues to establish himself during his rookie season. He placed second in the men's 100-yard freestyle with a time of 44.94 seconds and third in the men's backstroke at an impressive time of 48.08 seconds, marking it as Cincinnati's sixth-fastest record for this event.
