Amazon sponsored an "Experience the Magic of a Wish" event at a September 14 Run/Walk event in Alexandria as an effort to raise money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish organization.

Amazon associates and community members had the opportunity to engage in physical activity and support an important cause last weekend at AJ Jolly Campground, located at 1501 Race Track Road in Alexandria. The fundraiser included face painting, live music, a radio DJ, a visit from 'Who Dey' from the Cincinnati Bengals, and more. The event started at 9:30 a.m. and wrapped up at 2 p.m.

"Our operations manager, Eric, at the Amazon Air Hub, him and his family worked closely with local vendors, local organization, to be able to pull all these pieces together, to bring together hundreds of people today to give make to Make-A-Wish foundation," Amazon Air Hub Assistant General Manager Liz Hamedi told WCPO 9 News. "Which has also touched his life so much."

According to Amazon, it will host Make-A-Wish’s children and families impacted by critical illnesses for a fun, immersive day at KCVG’s air hub in Hebron, Kentucky later this year. Included will be a day of touring the facility, hearing from operational leaders, and visiting the 767 aircraft and cockpit.

Amazon's Air Hub is located at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (KCVG), according to About Amazon. This 800,000-square-foot facility represents a $1.5 billion investment and is the center of Amazon's air cargo network. The hub boasts cutting-edge technology, including robotic systems that move packages efficiently. Amazon is committed to contributing to the community by engaging with local residents and addressing the needs of underserved groups.
