Air France has unveiled new menus for its La Premiere and business class cabins, crafted by the esteemed French chef Dominique Crenn, who holds three Michelin stars. These meals will be offered on flights to six different U.S. destinations, catered by the Flying Food Group (FFG).
According to an Air France press release, the new offerings from Crenn include twelve original dishes that will rotate throughout the year, with two signature dishes being served each month. The airline has confirmed that these meals are now available on flights serving Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, San Francisco, and Seattle, with additional locations to be announced in due course.
Nicolas Rondeau, FFG’s executive vice president of sales and marketing said: "At Flying Food Group, we have been dedicated to enhancing our culinary expertise over the years. This commitment has involved hiring new talents and providing ongoing training to our existing culinary team, enabling them to produce high-quality dishes like those featured in the new Air France 3 Michelin star menus. We are thrilled to collaborate with Air France on this exciting project and are proud to be the launch cities for these exceptional menus."
As reported by Seattle City Wire article, Air France is one of FFG's longest standing customers. The airline catering company added Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to its list of catering locations on February 1.
In a subsequent press release from Air France, it was stated that their latest collaboration with Crenn - who is distinguished as the only woman in the U.S. with three Michelin stars - aims to further enhance its dining experience by offering passengers refined French cuisine. The emphasis placed by Crenn on using local and seasonal produce aligns perfectly with Air France's commitment towards quality and sustainability in its inflight dining services.
