ACT | The App Association has expressed approval for the newly announced Framework for an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade between the United States and Indonesia. This framework includes commitments from Indonesia to reduce or eliminate trade barriers that affect small American tech companies.

Morgan Reed, president of ACT | The App Association, stated, “This is another win for U.S. small tech developers.” He highlighted ongoing concerns raised by the association regarding Indonesia's tariff system on software and digital goods. Reed also thanked the U.S. Trade Representative and the Administration for their efforts in supporting small tech companies and emphasized continued collaboration to enhance American competitiveness globally.

Reed further commended the Indonesian government for its commitment alongside the United States to support a World Trade Organization agreement aimed at preventing taxes or customs duties on digital service transmissions.
