Coinciding with its annual DC Fly In, Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) has released its updated Federal Agenda for 2025. The agenda includes numerous policy priorities focused on business competitiveness, education and workforce development, energy and environment, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Key priorities in the agenda are advocating for comprehensive reforms to the U.S. immigration system, reducing tariffs to stabilize inflation, and securing funding for infrastructure projects. The agenda was developed through feedback from businesses across Greater Louisville who participate in GLI’s Issue Advisory Committees, Public Policy Council, and Board of Directors.

“With so much activity happening in the nation’s capital every day, it is more important than ever to ensure the voice of the Greater Louisville business community is heard. Our 2025 Federal Agenda encompasses a wide breadth of policies that directly impact employers, employees, and GLI’s ability to drive population and economic growth,” said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc.

Earlier this week, a group of top Greater Louisville business leaders joined GLI staff in Washington D.C. for a two-day fly-in to meet with members of Congress representing the Greater Louisville region to advocate for many policies outlined in the 2025 Federal Agenda. Advocacy efforts centered on three primary topics:

- Advocating for legal immigration to support talent pipelines.

- Opposing additional tariffs that create uncertainty and raise costs for businesses.

- Advocating for consistency in federal funds and grants.

Greater Louisville Inc., as the Metro Chamber of Commerce representing 15 counties in Kentucky and Indiana, aims to grow businesses and the regional economy by supporting businesses at every stage of development. It advocates for pro-growth policies and economic development investment while focusing on attracting talent and promoting economic inclusion.
