A recent webinar focused on helping activity departments comply with federal standards while offering person-centered, therapeutic programs. The event highlighted strategies for adapting activities to benefit residents with dementia, supporting resident councils, and crafting inclusive engagement plans that address various cognitive and emotional needs.

Molly Hedgpeth, MS CCC-SLP MT-BC ADC from SLP Operations, LLC, led the session. With over three decades of experience in long-term care, Hedgpeth is known for her expertise in person-centered activities and communication therapies. Her work in dementia support has received national recognition, notably through her development of the THRIVE program reviewed by the Alzheimer’s Association. Hedgpeth's multidisciplinary approach aims to provide innovative and effective engagement strategies for senior care providers.
