The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), along with 16 policy experts, has urged the Trump administration to address what they describe as "non-tariff attacks" on U.S. technology companies by international trading partners. The call to action was made in a letter addressed to key figures in the administration.
The letter was sent to U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and Senior Counselor to the President Peter Navarro. It highlights a growing trend that these experts believe could impact economic competitiveness and national security.
According to the group, these policies from trading partners are unfairly targeting America's leading technology companies, which could have serious implications if not addressed.
