COVINGTON, Ky. – Despite the intense heat, Covington offers various activities for residents and visitors.
On Friday, Covington Parks and Recreation will host a Movie Night in the Park at Austinburg Park featuring "Wings of Life," a film about butterflies and pollinators. The event is free and begins at dusk with popcorn available.
The Carnegie will open its production of "The Color Purple" on Friday, running through July 6. Based on Alice Walker's novel, the musical tells the story of Celie, an African American woman in the early 20th century.
Saturday brings the Art off Main – The Village Summer Art Fair to MainStrasse Village along 6th Street Promenade with various vendors.
For sports enthusiasts, The Fieldhouse Inaugural Card & Memorabilia Show will take place on Sunday, offering opportunities to buy, sell or trade sports memorabilia.
Live music events are scheduled throughout the weekend at various venues including Behringer-Crawford Museum and Madison Live. Additionally, numerous miscellaneous activities such as gardening sessions and trivia nights are planned across different locations in Covington.
