The summer driving season has begun, and drivers are experiencing a decline in gas prices. The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is now $3.14, marking a decrease of two cents from the previous week. Compared to last June, prices have dropped by 36 cents, attributed to consistently low crude oil prices this year. Currently, the supply of oil in the market exceeds demand, contributing to the lower prices. This is the lowest June gas price since 2021.
In terms of electric vehicles, the national average cost per kilowatt hour at public EV charging stations remains unchanged at 36 cents.
