Apple has announced the winners and finalists of the 2025 Apple Design Awards, recognizing 12 apps and games that excel in design. This year's honorees represent development teams from around the globe, selected for their innovation, ingenuity, and technical achievement.

"Developers continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible, creating apps and games that are not only beautifully designed but also deeply impactful," stated Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. "We’re excited to celebrate this incredible group of winners and finalists at WWDC and spotlight the innovation and craftsmanship they bring to each experience."

The awards recognize one app and one game across six categories: Delight and Fun, Innovation, Interaction, Inclusivity, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics. Winners were chosen from 36 finalists worldwide who have demonstrated outstanding design experiences.

In the Delight and Fun category, CapWords by HappyPlan Tech (China) won for its interactive language learning tool. The game Balatro by LocalThunk (Canada) was recognized for combining poker with solitaire elements.

For Innovation, Play by Rabbit 3 Times (United States) was awarded for its tool enabling users to build interactive prototypes using SwiftUI frameworks. PBJ — The Musical by Philipp Stollenmayer (Germany) won for creatively mixing rhythm-based gameplay with storytelling.

In Interaction, Taobao by Zhejiang Taobao Network (China) stood out with its immersive shopping experience on Apple Vision Pro. DREDGE by Black Salt Games (New Zealand) offered a blend of horror with exploration.

Inclusivity saw Speechify from Speechify (United States), praised for transforming text into audio across multiple languages. Art of Fauna by Klemens Strasser (Austria) was noted for blending wildlife imagery with inclusivity themes.

Social Impact honored Watch Duty by Sherwood Forestry Service (United States), providing critical updates during wildfires. Neva by Devolver Digital (United States) was recognized for its narrative on environmental themes.

Finally, in Visuals and Graphics, Feather: Draw in 3D by Sketchsoft (South Korea) was celebrated for allowing users to create 3D designs easily. Infinity Nikki by Infold Games (Singapore) impressed with its detailed open-world adventure visuals.
