WhatsApp has announced the introduction of four new features to enhance its Status functionality. These updates aim to provide users with additional ways to express themselves through collaging, music, and stickers.
WhatsApp Status allows users to share updates with their contacts, ensuring privacy through encryption. Only added contacts can view these status updates. The new features are designed to add more personality and creativity to shared statuses.
The first feature, Layout, enables users to create a collage from up to six photos using WhatsApp's editing tools for precise arrangement. Another feature focuses on music integration; users can now share a favorite song as their status or convert it into a music sticker for use in separate posts.
Additionally, the platform is introducing Photo Stickers, allowing photos to be transformed into stickers that can be resized and shaped before adding them to a status update. The Add Yours feature invites friends to join conversations by responding with their own content and sharing it within their community.
These features will be gradually rolled out and are expected to become available globally in the coming months.
