Covington, Ky. - The annual Easter Egg Hunt organized by Covington Parks & Recreation will take place on Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Volpenhein Shelter in Devou Park. The event is free to the public.

The event will offer various attractions, including a petting zoo, arts and crafts, activities such as an egg toss and an egg spoon race, and snacks like hotdogs, popcorn, and cotton candy. Participants are encouraged to bring their own baskets to collect eggs during the hunt.

Alicia Chappell, the Covington Recreational Program Coordinator, highlighted the event's community spirit by saying, "I enjoy this event because it brings people from all over Covington together to celebrate Spring. I love seeing the joy that this event brings when a child pets a bunny for the first time at the petting zoo or the excitement on everyone’s faces when it is finally time for the big egg hunt."

The area around the Volpenhein Shelter will be adorned with thousands of plastic Easter eggs filled with treats, providing an opportunity for children to fill their baskets as they participate in the hunt. Photos with the Easter Bunny will also be available.
