Facebook is reintroducing features to enhance user connections with the launch of a new Friends tab. This feature aims to bring back some of the "OG" (original) Facebook experiences, focusing on connections among friends.

This new Friends tab will be accessible in the United States and Canada. Its design is centered on friend-related content, featuring stories, reels, posts, birthdays, and friend requests from one's Facebook connections.

Previously, the Friends tab primarily displayed friend requests and suggestions through People You May Know. Now, it offers a dedicated space to engage more deeply with friends' content.

Users can access the Friends tab through the navigation bar on their home feed, with the option to find it in the Bookmarks section of the app. To make the tab more accessible, users can pin it using their profile's settings.

By clicking their profile picture in the home feed, then selecting "Settings & Privacy," "Settings," and "Tab bar," users can customize their navigation experience to prioritize the Friends tab.

Facebook emphasizes its ongoing commitment to enhancing the social aspect of its platform. "Social media should feel social," the company stated, hinting at more initiatives aimed at fostering connection and sharing among users.
