Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) have announced the first-ever Allstate NACDA Good Works Team for winter sports. This initiative recognizes 20 student-athletes who have excelled in community service, athletics, and academics. The team was selected from nearly 200 nominees nationwide and includes athletes from nine winter sports across five collegiate divisions.

Sophia Groth, a gymnast from Auburn University, has been named the team captain. She is noted for her leadership roles, including serving as president of Auburn’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and organizing initiatives like The Big House Toy Drive in Alabama. "I’m honored to be named captain of this incredible team," said Groth. "Leadership isn’t just about what we accomplish in sports—it’s about how we give back."

The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team expands on the legacy of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team by recognizing student-athletes from all national championship sports. Elizabeth Brady, Allstate’s chief marketing officer, remarked that these athletes embody leadership and service beyond competition. Pat Manak, NACDA's CEO, emphasized the importance of highlighting positive stories within collegiate athletics.

The program will continue to spotlight student-athletes throughout the year with upcoming teams for spring and fall sports.
