The Allstate Corporation has announced the appointment of Andréa Carter as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective May 12. In her new role, Carter will be responsible for leading Allstate's strategy to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing global workforce.

Carter brings nearly three decades of experience in human resources leadership. She joins Allstate from Global Payments Inc., where she led the company's global human capital strategy as Chief Human Resources Officer. Her previous roles include positions at Habitat for Humanity, Ralph Lauren, Newell Rubbermaid, and The Home Depot.
In addition to her professional achievements, Carter serves on the board of Churchill Downs Inc. She holds a bachelor's degree from Tennessee State University.
