At its Annual Dinner last Thursday, the Cincinnati Regional Chamber held a ceremony to welcome its new Board Chair. Following Chamber governance policy, Candace McGraw, former CVG CEO and now Immediate Past Chair of the Chamber board, completed her two-year tenure as Chair at the end of 2024. James Watkins, CEO of Triversity Construction, has taken over as Chair after serving as Vice Chair for the past two years.

“Over the past decade, Jim has made Cincinnati his home. He has lent his passion, expertise and leadership to numerous initiatives in our region, including affordable housing policy, the caps on Fort Washington Way, and economic development—all in support of our vision of building a growing, thriving region where everyone belongs,” said Brendon Cull, President & CEO of the Cincinnati Regional Chamber. “I’m grateful for his service to our organization and looking forward to his contributions as Board Chair.”

James Watkins is Triversity’s President and Chief Executive Officer with over 30 years’ experience in construction management and general contracting. As President for 11 years, Watkins led Triversity toward significant growth and established its headquarters in Walnut Hills.

Watkins oversees day-to-day operations at Triversity and executes its annual business plan. He also serves on several boards including ACI (Allied Construction Industries), Spirit of Construction, Truist Community Advisory Board and Cincinnati Housing Advisory Board. His involvement extends to corporate construction management training programs and participation in the ACE Mentor program. Watkins has been recognized as “Who’s Who in Detroit” and is a past NOMA (National Organization of Minority Architects) board member.

New board members joining at the end of 2024 include Katrina English from UC Health; Holly H. Mazzocca from Bartlett; Lisa Vannis from Deloitte; and Andrew E. Worrell from Fischer Homes.
