Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) have announced 193 student-athletes as nominees for the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Winter). These individuals, recognized for their excellence in academics, sports, and community service, were nominated by athletics administrators, conference office staff, and coaches. They represent leadership, service, and character.

“These young women and men are more than competitors – they’re leaders, changemakers and role models,” said Holly Rowe, ESPN reporter and Allstate NACDA Ambassador. “Their influence extends beyond the game.”

The nominees include 115 women and 78 men from 17 different sports such as basketball, swimming and diving, gymnastics, ice hockey among others. Each institution can nominate one female and one male athlete per winter sport. Eligible schools must be part of NCAA Division I, II, III; NAIA; or Junior/Community Colleges. Nominees must have completed at least one year of college coursework.

A selection committee will choose a final team consisting of 20 members—10 female and 10 male athletes. The committee includes Holly Rowe along with ESPN analyst Sam Acho.

The initiative expands on the legacy of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team which has honored college football players since 1992. Now it includes student-athletes from all sports across all divisions.

“Athletes in sports that don’t always make the headlines demonstrate the same dedication to service,” said Elizabeth Brady from Allstate.

Allstate provides various protection services through a broad distribution network while NACDA supports over 24,000 college athletics administrators globally.
