Our hearts remain with Los Angeles amid the catastrophic wildfires that have affected so many and still rage on. We want to help Southern California residents, first responders, and communities get the resources they need to battle these wildfires, recover and rebuild.

Uber and Postmates are pledging $3 million to ramp up relief efforts across Southern California, including $1 million to the World Central Kitchen and $2 million to local community organizations that are serving Angelenos with free rides, meals, groceries, essentials, and freight transportation.

Uber’s $3 Million Relief Fund

Uber and Postmates will donate $1 for every ride booked or delivery order placed in Los Angeles County, up to $1 million, to World Central Kitchen, which is working to provide hot meals to first responders and impacted community members across the area.

Uber and Postmates are also partnering with restaurants and community organizations throughout LA to donate $2 million in free rides, meals, groceries, essentials, and freight that will help LA communities continue to respond to the disaster and aid long-term recovery.

We’re currently working with partners like the East LA Women’s Center, California Fire Foundation, and COOP LA, with more to come.

Free Rides

Uber continues to work with local authorities and first responders to help residents safely evacuate to shelters if they need to. We are providing rides to designated shelters, up to $40 per trip*, for anyone who needs transportation assistance.

To redeem this offer, evacuees should apply the promo code "WILDFIRE25" in the Wallet section of the Uber app and then request a ride to one of the designated shelters. For step-by-step instructions on how to apply the promo code click here. For a list of active shelters in the affected areas click here (Please note: areas under mandatory evacuation orders will not have Uber service available while those orders are in effect.)

Waiving Fees in LA County

To better support local communities in the affected area with on-demand food, groceries and other supplies Uber Eats and Postmates are waiving Delivery Fees and Service Fees on orders from eligible local businesses**.
