The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced the upcoming quarterly meeting for the Interagency Task Force (IATF) on Veterans Small Business Development, scheduled for December 11. This meeting will be open to the public.

"Veterans and military families have an innate persistence that makes them well-suited for entrepreneurship and the Small Business Administration is proud to support these individuals in starting, running, and growing their businesses," stated Dilawar Syed, SBA Deputy Administrator. "I look forward to the upcoming Interagency Task Force meeting which will provide an opportunity to address lingering challenges for veteran-owned small businesses and shape policies that set them up for success."

The IATF Advisory Committee provides independent advice and policy recommendations related to veteran-owned small business development to various stakeholders including the SBA Administrator, Congress, and other U.S. policymakers.

Scheduled participants include Dilawar Syed, Deputy Administrator of the SBA; Robert Yannuzzi, Assistant Administrator of the Office of Veterans Business Development at the SBA; and members from departments such as Veterans Affairs, Treasury, Defense, Labor, among others.

The meeting will take place virtually from 1:00-3:30 p.m. ET on December 11. Participants can join via a provided link or by phone using a conference ID. Public comments and questions are encouraged in advance via email by December 10.

Minutes of this meeting will be accessible online under the "Federal Advisory Committees" section at www.sba.gov/ovbd.
