According to Amazon's Community Impact Reports, the company has committed $3.6 billion to create or preserve 35,000 affordable homes, impacting over 46,000 residents across various regions. Through the Amazon Housing Equity Fund, it has provided $2.2 billion in loans and grants and expanded its commitment by $1.4 billion for 14,000 additional homes in 2024.
Amazon's Community Delivery program has delivered over 34 million meals to families, affecting food security in its hometown communities. Additionally, the company has provided over 17 million hours of STEM education to 2.1 million students and offered free skills training in cloud computing to over 31 million learners globally.
Since 2010, Amazon has invested $43 billion in Kentucky, significantly contributing to the state's economy as detailed in Amazon's Economic Impact Report. This investment has added $39 billion to Kentucky's GDP and created 22,000 full- and part-time jobs as of January 2024. Furthermore, Amazon's presence supports approximately 50,300 indirect jobs based on U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis methodology and aids over 3,000 independent sellers in the state.
