Amazon has announced a ten-week internship program for the summer of 2025, offering 40 hours per week at one of its fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. The position of fulfillment area manager intern is available in Kentucky and Ohio locations.

According to Amazon Jobs, interns will be responsible for managing teams of 50-100 associates and driving standard work practices, with a focus on coaching, motivating, and mentoring. In addition to learning management skills, interns will work on a summer project in collaboration with site leadership to contribute to operational improvements.

The role requires interns to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments. Responsibilities include overseeing truck deliveries, sorting packages, and operating equipment like pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks (PIT). Interns will also be expected to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 49 pounds, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs when applicable. The internship involves shifts of up to 12 hours, and interns must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with graduation expected between December 2025 and August 2026. Preferred qualifications include strong communication skills, customer service experience, and a background in supply chain management or engineering. The compensation for this role ranges from $26.44/hr to $31.49/hr depending on geographic location. Additional benefits include medical advice lines, employee assistance programs, and housing assistance for eligible candidates.
