Amazon has announced that AWS Finance is seeking a finance manager based in Chicago, Illinois, to support the AWS Compute business. The role will focus on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which is one of the fastest-growing products within the AWS portfolio.

According to Amazon Jobs, this position involves working closely with finance management and key business partners across the AWS organization. This includes service general managers, product managers, and engineering leaders, to provide financial analysis and controllership for EC2 Services. Responsibilities include managing profit and loss statements (P&Ls), conducting usage and revenue analyses for new and existing services, and supporting ad-hoc business projects and financial planning.

The role requires addressing financial deliverables such as business reviews and operating plans while also identifying opportunities to improve business efficiency. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential for this position. Candidates must have over five years of experience in finance or related fields, proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. An MBA or CPA is preferred.
