Three new properties have been awarded the prestigious AAA Five Diamonds. The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston in Houston, Texas, Auro in Calistoga, California, and Estero in Playa del Carmen, Mexico have received this honor. These establishments are recognized for their luxurious environments, excellent cuisine, and exceptional service. Additionally, ten hotels and restaurants have joined the AAA Four Diamonds list this month. Four Diamond properties are noted for upscale amenities and distinctive fine dining.
AAA Inspectors conduct unannounced visits to hotels and restaurants across North America, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica throughout the year. They objectively verify the 4 Cs of AAA Diamonds: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine, and Consistency.
The new AAA Five Diamond hotel is The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston in Houston, Texas. The new AAA Five Diamond restaurants include Auro in Calistoga, California and Estero in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Several new properties have also been added to the AAA Four Diamond list. These include Disney’s Boardwalk Villas in Lake Buena Vista, Florida; Four Winds South Bend in South Bend, Indiana; Grand Fiesta Americana Queretaro in Queretaro, Mexico; Kimpton The Forum Hotel in Charlottesville, Virginia; Montauk Yacht Club in Montauk, New York; Paradisus La Perla in Playa del Carmen; Sutton Place Hotel Toronto in Toronto; and The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas in Avon.
Newly recognized AAA Four Diamond restaurants are Elderberry House Restaurant in Oakhurst and Mar del Zur in Queretaro.
Diamond lists are updated monthly as inspectors visit properties throughout the year. Currently, there are about 140 Five Diamond hotels and 60 Five Diamond restaurants along with 1,750 Four Diamond hotels and 500 Four Diamond restaurants.
