The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team has secured a place in the Big 12 Conference Tournament following a 2-2 draw against UCF. The match, held on Friday night, was the regular season finale for both teams.

Cincinnati's position in the tournament was confirmed due to the result of another game between Baylor and Iowa State. The Bearcats finished their regular season with a record of 6-8-4 overall and 2-6-3 in conference play. Meanwhile, UCF concluded with a record of 3-6-6 overall and 1-5-4 in conference matches.

The Bearcats started strong with Ellie Flower scoring in the third minute, followed by Lauren Bastian adding another goal from midfield in the 11th minute. Both teams took seven shots during the first half, while UCF had an advantage with six corner kicks compared to Cincinnati's four.

UCF managed to score twice against Cincinnati's goalkeeper Anna Rexford within five minutes. In a tense moment at the end of the match, freshman Rylee Felton attempted a one-on-one shot against UCF's goalkeeper but was blocked.

Cincinnati will head to Kansas City, Missouri for the Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championships scheduled for October 30th. Further details regarding seeding and matchups will be determined after all games are completed.
