Morgan Stanley has announced that its Portfolio Risk Platform has been recognized by Datos Insights as a winner of the 2024 Digital Wealth Management Impact Innovation award for Advisor Enablement. This award highlights excellence and innovation in enabling wealth managers to better serve their clients.

The Portfolio Risk Platform was developed in collaboration with Morgan Stanley Executive Sponsors and BlackRock Solution’s product team. It integrates BlackRock’s factor risk model with Morgan Stanley’s analytics, offering a comprehensive view into client portfolio risks through advanced data analysis. The platform supports various product types, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, annuities, structured products, and multi-asset securities.

Since its launch in 2018, the platform has become an essential tool for financial advisors at Morgan Stanley. It provides hypothetical illustrations of market shocks' effects on client portfolios. The platform's previous accolades include the American Financial Technology Award for Best Risk Management Initiative in 2022 and the Celent Model Wealth Manager Award for Products and Platforms in 2021.

The selection process for this award involved four external experts evaluating entries based on criteria such as innovation level, competitive advantage, customer experience impact, operational efficiency improvements, new revenue opportunities, customer retention enhancement, scalability across the customer base, and future roadmap potential.
