Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is seeking a business development specialist to join its Amazon Q team in Chicago or Detroit. Candidates should have a passion for helping customers reach their full potential and a background in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).

According to the job announcement, as part of the Worldwide Specialist Team, the selected candidate will lead the global go-to-market (GTM) plan for Amazon Q. Amazon describes the ideal candidate as a "leader for specialists, architects, partners, and account teams around the world," who will set direction and standards to solve customer problems. They will collaborate with technical and business teams across Amazon Web Services to bring the voice of the customer into the company’s product development plans.

The announcement states that some of the primary responsibilities for this role include leading GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain; leveraging deep domain expertise to develop best-in-class field enablement and sales strategy; and supporting field teams in solution building for high-priority customers.

Basic qualifications for the position are seven or more years of relevant GTM, sales, or consulting experience; five or more years of understanding how developers write software; and a BA or BS degree required.

The base pay for the position ranges between $133,200 to $220,200 per year, depending on geographic location.
