The Amazon Echo Buds (2023) are a versatile tool for those who want to take Alexa on the go. These semi-in-ear devices, designed to deliver rich audio and long-lasting battery life, offer premium features and hands-free access to Alexa for an affordable price of $49.99. They provide the convenience of asking Alexa to cue music, make a call, or set a reminder while on the move. Moreover, Echo Buds come with several features that allow users to personalize their experience and enhance productivity.

One such feature is the updated tap controls. Customers can already customize Echo Bud tap controls—for instance, setting your buds to start a recommended playlist with a long press of either earbud or pausing a song with a single tap. However, with the latest update, Amazon has broadened the selection of tap controls available for customers. Now users can set a tap gesture to perform a custom Alexa action or Routine such as getting weather updates or traffic reports with just one touch. These controls can be customized via the Alexa app.

Another personalization option is changing your wake word. If "Alexa" doesn't suit you as the wake word on your Echo Buds, you now have the choice to change it to "Echo." This modification can be made by going into Echo Buds device settings in the Alexa app and selecting "Echo" as your new wake word.

Multipoint Pairing is another feature that adds versatility to these devices. It allows users to connect their Echo Buds with multiple Bluetooth-enabled devices and seamlessly switch audio between two of them without having to adjust Bluetooth settings constantly.

The VIP Filter is yet another innovative feature that keeps you updated on essential notifications without needing to check your phone continually. With this filter, you can select contacts and apps from which you wish to receive notifications by adding them to your VIP list—Alexa will then filter out all other notifications.

Finally, there's audio personalization. This feature allows users to tailor their audio experience for a fuller sound, based on earbud fit and hearing preferences. Users can personalize the range of frequencies and volumes for each earbud to tune audio according to their unique hearing preferences in the Alexa app.

The Amazon Echo Buds (2023) are currently available for purchase at $49.99. Other devices like Echo Frames and Carrera Smart Glasses also offer ways to take Alexa on the go.
