Verizon Public Sector has secured a $100 million contract with the State of Michigan. This announcement comes alongside several other significant developments for the telecommunications giant.
In partnership with the National Hockey League, Verizon is set to deploy a Private 5G Network in NHL arenas. As the Official 5G and Wireless Services Partner of the NHL in the United States, Verizon customers experienced the championship game's most significant moments, consuming a record amount of data on Verizon’s network in and around Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Furthermore, an agreement between Verizon and Vonage has led to the introduction of Verizon network Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and joint innovation work in developing new APIs. This collaboration signifies a step forward in enhancing connectivity solutions.
The impact of these initiatives extends beyond immediate business operations. After the bright lights of Allegiant Stadium fade, Las Vegas will be left stronger than ever before, largely due to Verizon's major commitment to improving infrastructure.
Moreover, Verizon continues to receive industry recognition for its services. According to J.D. Power, Verizon is the most awarded for Network Quality – 32 times consecutively; more than any other wireless provider. In addition, it received J.D. Power awards in all six regions.
