Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity company based in Santa Clara, California, has earned the distinction of being recognized as a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge (SSE). This marks the second consecutive year that the company has achieved this prestigious position in the Magic Quadrant.

The company expressed its gratitude for this recognition in a blog post on its website. "We believe this prestigious recognition underscores our ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in cybersecurity solutions, notably through our Prisma Access SSE solution," Palo Alto Networks wrote.

According to the same blog post, Palo Alto Networks' 2024 Leader recognition in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SSE was preceded by acknowledgment in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SD-WAN in September 2023. The company is proud to be the only vendor acknowledged in both categories. "This consistent recognition, we feel, is a testament to our dedication to providing advanced, integrated security solutions that help protect organizations' networks, applications, and data," Palo Alto Networks stated.

In terms of product offerings, the blog post highlighted that their Prisma Access platform, launched in 2019, focuses on transitioning from legacy VPN solutions to ZTNA 2.0. It also replaces traditional on-premises secure web gateways (SWG) with Cloud SWG and fortifies SaaS applications with Next-Generation CASB.

The blog post also referenced Gartner research which predicts that by next year, 80% of enterprises will have adopted a strategy to unify web, cloud services, and private application access using a SASE/SSE architecture. This marks a significant increase from just 20% in 2021. On this transformative transition trend, Palo Alto Networks expressed enthusiasm about leading the way forward.
