Adobe, the multinational software company famed for its creative and document management solutions, has appointed Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated, to its board of directors. This appointment expands the Adobe Board to 12 members.

"Adobe Appoints Cristiano Amon to its Board of Directors," said the software giant in a recent statement.

Amon's professional history is an illustrious one. As per Adobe, he served as the Chief Technical Officer for Vésper, a wireless operator based in Brazil. He held leadership positions at NEC, Ericsson, and Velocom. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and an honorary doctorate from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. He also holds prominent roles in several organizations; he is a member of the President's Export Council and vice-chair of the U.S.-China Business Council. In addition, he is currently serving on the board for Father Joe's Villages, a non-profit organization.

"Cristiano's deep technical expertise and leadership in mobile, AI and global operations will be invaluable as Adobe empowers millions more people to create, collaborate, and deliver personalized digital experiences across surfaces," expressed Shantanu Narayen, chair and chief executive officer at Adobe. "I look forward to working with him to continue to expand our business and further increase shareholder value.”

Market screener also highlighted Amon's significant contributions during his tenure at Qualcomm since 1995 where he assumed various leadership roles. Notably overseeing Qualcomm's semiconductor business with overall responsibility for Snapdragon® processors. Apart from this tenure at Qualcomm and other tech firms like NEC, Ericsson and Velocom; his active participation on the President’s Export Council; vice-chair position at U.S-China Business council; along with service on board for nonprofit Father Joe’s Villages solidifies his professional accomplishments.
