Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) recently took possession of 20 baby bunnies from a Tucson property owner, who could no longer care for the animals.
The unidentified owner had been providing minimal care for a large number of rabbits. PACC first learned of the situation in March and stepped in to help the owner rehome the animals.
Various community groups took approximately 130 of the rabbits, but that option has been exhausted so PACC is now making the animals available for adoption.
The adoption fees for the bunnies is $15, which includes spaying or neutering surgery.
PACC anticipates receiving another 50 rabbits in the near future.
