Mark Slyter was recently named president and CEO for Dignity Health Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers in the East Valley.
Slyter previously served as president and CEO for General Health System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to an announcement. There, he helped implement better care access, patient experience and operations and improved hospitalization and ER statistics through preventive measures. Previously, he led Mississippi Baptist Health Systems in the same capacity.
“Mark’s expertise, talent and skills are a perfect match for the East Valley’s growing services, commitment to excellence, and culture of kindness,” Linda Hunt, senior operations officer for Dignity Health in Arizona, said in the announcement. “On behalf of Dignity Health, we look forward to Mark leading Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert’s strong reputation for patient care and service to the community.”
Slyter has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Kansas. He also has a doctorate of science in health services administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
