At the Professional Women's Alliance luncheon on Aug. 8, Kimberly Hall, director of donor development at Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona, spoke about finding your passion and how she discovered her own.
“The best way to discover your passion is to ask yourself what skills and talent you bring to the world and set goals to accomplish it,” Hall said, according to the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. “Determine what comes natural to you and what steps you need to take to move forward.”
Hall said that once you think you've found your passion, take the necessary steps to make sure you actually carry out your passion and your dreams.
“Writing down your goals and setting a date to accomplish those goals holds you accountable and you are more likely to take action,” Hall said. “Get an accountability partner who will be honest with you and give constructive feedback.”
Hall helps others each day she goes to work, and she has identified that as her life's passion, according to the chamber.
“Serving the homeless all those years ago literally changed me and led me to my passion for helping others,” Hall said. “I believe we are blessed to be a blessing to others.”
The next Professional Women's Alliance will take place Sept. 12 and feature Bahar Schippel, a partner at Snell & Wilmer. Her presentation will include discussing the hardships she overcame to become a successful businesswoman.
Registration is requested for the meeting.
