The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce will announce this year's ATHENA Award recipients at an awards luncheon Wednesday in Scottsdale.
The ATHENA Award recognizes women who consistently invest time in their communities and careers while inspiring other women. This award is issued in numerous communities around the world.
The awards luncheon will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, 6902 E. Greenway Parkway in Scottsdale. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
Two finalists will receive the ATHENA Businesswoman of the Year Award — one award for the private sector and one for the public sector. The ATHENA Young Professional Award will also be announced at the event.
ATHENA finalists are chosen based on dedication to leadership, community and the mentoring of other women. To learn about the 11 finalists, please visit www.phoenixchamber.com/ATHENAmottos.
The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce will also recognize former Gov. Jane Dee Hull as its 2016 Community Legacy Honoree. Hull was the first female speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives and also the first female elected governor of Arizona.
