Arizona Bioscience Week is Sept. 18-23.
The Arizona Bioindustry Association (AZBio) said Monday it plans to host a series of events aimed at linking investors and other funding sources with scientists working in the life sciences during Arizona Bioscience Week, Sept. 18-23.
The program for the week is expected to include forums, many of them at the Phoenix Convention Center, for sharing best practices, a showcase of student work, a showcase of investment opportunities, an awards ceremony and a life sciences career fair. Participants will also have access to a scheduling platform designed to facilitate the scheduling of meetings between participants throughout the week.
“Arizona’s researchers, life science innovator companies and leading health care systems are working together with a single focused goal of improving the quality of life for people here in Arizona and around the world,” AZBio President CEO Joan Koerber-Walker said. “Today, Arizona’s bioscience industry is gaining national and international recognition for the work being done to make life better for people living with cancer, metabolic diseases, heart disease, neurodegenerative diseases and more.”
