SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Francisco Sánchez Jr., associate administrator for the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the Small Business Administration (SBA), today reminded Washington small nonfarm businesses in Clallam, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason counties of the July 8, 2024 deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster loan for economic injury. These low-interest loans aim to offset economic losses due to reduced revenues caused by drought in Clallam and Jefferson counties that began on September 12, 2023.

Tokyo, Japan – June 6, 2024 – Global investment firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) today announced it has agreed to sell 100% of Tokiwa Cosmetics Group (collectively with Tokiwa Corporation and its subsidiaries, “Tokiwa”), a global cosmetics research, development, and manufacturing company, to Nihon Kolmar Holdings (collectively with TOA Inc., its 100% subsidiary, “TOA Group”), Japan’s largest cosmetics ODM/OEM manufacturer. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ORLANDO, Fla. (June 6, 2024) – The most recent annual consumer survey by AAA on Electric Vehicles (EVs) indicates a decline in consumer interest in purchasing EVs. Only 18% of U.S. adults say they would be “very likely” or “likely” to buy a new or used EV (not a hybrid), down from 23% last year. Additionally, 63% cited being "unlikely or very unlikely" to purchase an EV for their next car.
