WellCare Health Plans recently completed the acquisition of Care1st Health Plan Arizona and One Care by Care1st Health Plan of Arizona.

WellCare Health Plans, a Florida-based health care plan provider, has signed an agreement to acquire Medicaid membership and some provider contracts from Phoenix Health Plan (PHP), a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare.

WellCare Health Plans Inc. has entered into an agreement with Care1st Health Plan to acquire its subsidiaries Care1st Health Plan Arizona Inc. and ONECare by Care1st Health Plan of Arizona Inc., known collectively as Care1st Arizona.
