The leadership team behind BLINK, a well-known immersive light and art event, has announced that the festival will return to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky from October 8-11, 2026. This announcement also opens the Call to Artists, inviting creators from around the world to submit their ideas for participation in this public art experience.
BLINK spans over 30 city blocks across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. It features large-scale projection mapping, light-based art installations, and murals that draw over a million visitors. Leslie Mooney, Executive Director of BLINK, emphasized the event's focus on creativity and community: “BLINK has always been about pushing creative boundaries and bringing people together through awe and wonder."
In 2024, BLINK attracted submissions from artists in 65 countries with projects including projection mapping, light installations, and murals. Andrew Salzbrun of AGAR described BLINK as a platform for collaboration among artists and communities.
Artists can apply across various mediums such as projection mapping and mural work until October 8, 2025. The application is free.
Mooney added: “What makes BLINK so special is the artists who bring it to life each year.” The festival supports artists with resources from concept to completion.
