The report examines labor market dynamics within the Cincinnati region, which encompasses the 15-county Cincinnati OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), centered on Cincinnati and Hamilton County. It utilizes data from the US Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Lightcast.
Brandon Rudd, Director of the Center for Research and Data, commented on the findings: “I am encouraged by the trends we have observed in this report of low unemployment and high growth in several key industries.” He added that their goal is to provide insights that assist regional leaders, community partners, and policymakers in making informed decisions regarding talent attraction, inclusive economic growth, and community-wide goals.
The analysis includes various data points on employment centers, educational attainment by county, and migration patterns across the region. The report also compares Cincinnati's position nationally against similar regions using 38 performance indicators. Further details can be found at data.cincinnatichamber.com.
