A dozen new properties have been awarded the AAA Four Diamonds status this month, adding to a prestigious list of hotels and restaurants known for their upscale amenities and fine dining experiences. Each year, AAA Inspectors conduct unannounced visits to various locations across North America, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica to evaluate them based on the 4 Cs of AAA Diamonds: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine, and Consistency.
The latest additions to the AAA Four Diamond Hotels include Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Gardiner House in Newport, Rhode Island; Intercontinental Seattle Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington; Princess Grand Jamaica and Princess Senses The Mangrove in Green Island, Jamaica; Royalton Negril Resorts & Spa in Negril, Jamaica; StoneHaven Le Manoir in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Québec, Canada; and Universal Helios Grand Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
Newly recognized restaurants earning the AAA Four Diamond distinction are Atelier Tony in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada; Fiamma in Ketchum, Idaho; The Wild Sage in Jackson, Wyoming; and Tre Dita in Chicago, Illinois.
AAA updates its Diamond lists monthly as inspectors visit properties throughout the year. Presently there are about 145 Five Diamond hotels and 65 Five Diamond restaurants alongside approximately 1,750 Four Diamond hotels and 500 Four Diamond restaurants.
